Layne is a true Aspen native, born and raised in the West End, just blocks from where she is now raising her own family. Her path to becoming the #2 Agent for Douglas Elliman Colorado began growing up in a real estate household, learning the family business and eventually becoming a founding principal of Stirling Peak Properties, a boutique Aspen brokerage firm.
Her career has spanned residential development, luxury rentals, brokerage management and a current focus on sales that has placed Layne among Douglas Elliman’s top brokers annually since joining the company. With over 16 years’ experience in the Aspen market, Layne is known for her down to earth style and keen ability to truly listen and understand her clients' needs. Her vast personal and professional network roots her deeply in all things Aspen and keeps her always in the know. For fun, Layne can be found alongside her husband Mike, chasing their two boys, Henry and Myles around the mountains. Her passion for the outdoors was instilled early by her parents Dale and Sally Potvin, and Layne still seizes the opportunity to spend time in the Elk Mountains skiing, hiking, biking and rafting. Layne’s lifelong love of Aspen and the Roaring Fork Valley is contagious. It is her passion to share with her clients all that makes our little ski town special.
