What brought us to this valley

I grew up in Morrison, CO which was a small mountain town at the time. I was searching for another mountain town lifestyle that had more than just skiing as a focus and my Grandma told me that she used to come up to the Roaring Fork Valley to go fly fishing with her dad. She thought I'd love the outdoor lifestyle, but was concerned about how I'd make a living because her sister was a potato farmer up here for a bit and truly struggled. Once I visited and realized the magical combination of natural beauty, outdoor activities and an appreciation for the arts and culture (and convinced Grandma that I could make a living up here) I moved immediately and have been here for more than 20 years.
