Duchess and the Dude is a fashion-forward store for ladies and men specializing in; one-of-a-kind pieces, local jewelry, rock art, fashionable loungewear, and shoes. The owner, Kimberly Wilson Jarrell is a music fanatic so you’ll find flannels with vintage rock tees sewn on the back and edgy jewelry.
Duchess and the Dude was formally named Kalis Aspen. Kimberly changed the name when she decided to add Men’s clothing. Customers would also call her Kali…which is not her name. Her name is Kimberly, but you can call her Duchess!
I moved to Aspen from Chicago Oct 1986! The mountains were calling me. I met the Duke the second day I moved here. From then on I was called the Duchess, and met all of the old-time famous Aspenites! I was hired by Boogie, of “Boogies Diner” and learned everything about the retail fashion industry. I’ve raised two amazing children. My daughter Stevie Rae works for the Hope Center. My son Cassidy is a professional Half Pipe skier. I love this valley. I am proud to be a small business owner in Aspen Colorado!
