Jacquelyn Francis - Executive Director

Jacquelyn is the visionary founder behind the Keeling Curve Prize and the Global Warming Mitigation Project (GWMP), established in the fall of 2017. As the Founding Executive Director of GWMP, Jacquelyn is dedicated to leveraging her skills, expertise, and resources to propel humanity toward a future beyond fossil fuels. Grounded in scientific rigor, mathematics, and pragmatism, she leads with forward-thinking strategies to address the pressing challenges of climate change.

Jacquelyn's influence extends beyond her role at GWMP. She actively participates in global platforms such as the annual international TED conference and serves as a Future Forum Strategic Partner for TED Countdown. Her expertise is recognized on an international scale, as she serves as a judge for the Merck Future Insights Prize and as an official Observer for The Climate Investment Funds run by the World Bank, as well as for the annual UN Conference of the Parties (COP). Jacquelyn has also been appointed as an XPRIZE Global Engineering Brain Trust Member in the Climate + Energy domain. This significant role underscores her ongoing dedication to driving innovation and solutions in the climate arena.

Adding to her impressive portfolio, Jacquelyn volunteers as the Chairperson of the Aspen/Pitkin County Airport Board, a challenging and influential position in her hometown of Aspen, Colorado. She is a prominent voice in climate discourse, sharing her insights and perspectives on pressing climate issues through a monthly column in the Aspen Daily News.
