Owner. Experienced, Intelligent, Creative Representation
Scott was destined to be a part of the "Aspen Story". Born in northern California, raised and educated in Texas, he was introduced to the area in the early 70’s thanks to his outdoorsy parents who had a life-long love affair with Colorado and visited as often as able. His grandparents owned property in Snowmass Village, which was home to many happy memories.
After earning a broadcast journalism degree, Scott began his professional career in the mid 90’s as a television news anchor, reporter and producer for ABC, NBC and FOX affiliates in Colorado, Alabama, North Carolina and Washington State. Yearning for more permanent, healthful and inspirational surroundings, Scott realized a life-long dream of living in the mountains by moving to the Roaring Fork Valley in 2002; working first as the news director for KSNO-FM and later, representing the local business community at the Aspen Chamber Resort Association. Capitalizing on his strong interpersonal and organizational skills, Scott earned his real estate license in 2005, quickly becoming a respected broker and top producer. Scott is an expert in residential, commercial, and ranch properties in Aspen, Snowmass, Woody Creek, Basalt, Missouri Heights, Carbondale, and beyond. He’s considered a local authority on TDRs (Transferable Development Rights) and pens a monthly real estate column entitled “Deeded Interest” for the Aspen Times. Scott has served as Board President of two local homeowners associations. He is a former Board member of Blue Lake Preschool, is a former vice-chair of the Aspen Board of Realtors, has served as Realtor liaison to the Roaring Fork Conservancy, and was one of the original board members of Aspen Young Professionals Association (AYPA). He’s also an Aspen Elk (BPOE #224) and a proud Eagle Scout (Troop 920). Scott has always been interested in the area’s rich history and loves helping his clients discover all the rewards of living, working and playing here in the heart of the Rockies! When the snow flies you’ll find him on local slopes. Camping, hiking and exploring the backcountry are summer pursuits. An amateur angler; fly fishing the Frying Pan and Crystal Rivers provides a quiet escape. He’s also an avid wing shooter and upland bird hunter. His wife McLean is a nurse practitioner and owner of The Local’s Lab and Clinic. They are proud parents to their beautiful son Bridger and two rescue dogs.
